How to Unlock Blackberry Phone For Free - Lets say your traveling to another country, going on a mission trip, vacation or basically anything, well your going to need a communications device, more commonly known as a cell phone.  Lets say you have a old blackberry laying around, or maybe you can find one on craigslist for cheap.  You can get a Blackberry 9800, for fairly cheap, and use it easily in a overseas country, or practically anywhere.  Or lets say your on AT&T, and just got the beautiful blackberry 9900.  You want to get off of AT&T, and they won’t let you, well your in luck, because you can easily and simply get the unlock for free, and it isn’t hard at all!

The Blackberry is the most easy to unlock phone there is available.  If you want to unlock your awesome iPhone, will you soon face many troubles, because Apple didn’t make it easy like Blackberry did.  I don’t understand why people think that blackberry is such a “thing of the past”  I personally tend to disagree, in fact the blackberry platform, is an excellent platform, and very easy to unlock, which makes it a great phone to use overseas, or when you travel to a country that you can buy a prepaid sim card.  For example, last year I took a trip to thailand, while there, I noticed I could get a pre-payed sim card for the whole 3 weeks, for only US $10.  This was amazing, it included easy texting, unlimited web, which i was able to access through the backdoor of my newly unlocked blackberry.  Basically all told, I had a great experience using it over there.  When I was done, I sold it for $200 Us dollars, and made a few dollars on top of a great experience.

First you must find what model you are using.  This is done, by removing the battery, and checking for the model number.  For example, many common models are: Blackberry Bold 9900, Blackberry Bold 9930, Blackberry Bold 9700, blackberry Torch 9800 etc.  This model will be necessary when you get to the step by step process ahead right bellow.

Unlock Blackberry For Free Instructions

1. First Find the model, In this example, we will use the Bold 9900 by Blackberry.
2. Now logon to http://www.checkesnfree.com/bbunlock.html
3. Select Provider, in this case our model is needing to be unlocked from AT&T
4. Now simply Choose the model (In this case we choose “9900″)
5. Now before inputing any numbers in the section bellow, we go onto our blackberry while on, and press these keys *#06# This will then pop up the phones EMEI #.
6. Use the number on the screen of your blackberry, and simply input it into the grey box bellow where you choose your model.
7. Then Submit, you will then receive the unlock code on the next page.
8. Now turn on your blackberry with your other sim card (In this case it is Orange O2)
9. A popup will ask you if you want to input the unlock code.
10. Now enter the unlock code provided, and press the center button, or enter either one, and it will now be unlocked.  You may need to enable the phone connections in settings, but you are set to go!
